Hello, everyone! I've been really interested in Sweet Briar for a few months now, and I'm looking at applying next year. However, the more I look into it, the more skeptical I get. I'm all about Sweet Briar's academics and I love their traditions and all, but at the same time, I'm a little worried. I've been judged by people a lot since I was about twelve due to my piercings, and now that I've gotten a tattoo, that sort of doubled the pressure on me to be so-called "normal." While I feel like I could sort of blossom and find a place at Sweet Briar, I'm also not sure because I've read a lot about that a lot of the girls are sort snooty or conservative or whatever. It'd be really hard for me to travel all that way and visit the campus to see what it's really like for myself because I live in Maine. So what do you guys think? Should I listen to what other people are saying? If I'm going to spend four years of my life in one place, I want to be happy. Would some of my liberal views and my style be accepted there?
i'm at Chatham now, about to be a senior, feel free to pm me if you want more info. I love Chatham, but there's pros and cons depending on what you want from a school.
I'll have to PM you sometime soon to find out more. I looked into Chatham and I like the look of it.
